My experience with Kiefertal Kennel and BG has been life changing  for myself and my 17 month old German Shepherd, Beau.  I had attended a few different training classes before but left still not feeling confident with my dog.  It wasn’t until I was introduced to BG and her wonderful classes that everything came into place.  BG’s love and respect for dogs shows in every way, her knowledge and expertise is amazing.  She expects alot from  the dogs and owners, the results are worth it.  As BG says  ” there is nothing more beautiful than a well trained dog”.  Thank you BG for everything!

I have been working my German Shepherd puppy Dax with BG over several months and I find BG to be consistent, knowledgeable and totally dedicated to the advancement of the breed.  Like all good instructors with an understanding of current training methods, BG knows what to do as challenges arise during lessons, and as the dog goes through different stages of maturing.  When BG occasionally takes the leash your dog magically changes to a very well behaved example of the breed. The true sign of a trainer in touch with the situation.

I first met BG ( owner of Kiefertal Kennels) 12 years ago when looking for a kennel to board my German Shepherd Dog, Sabre. I boarded him there for 8 years until his passing. The love and attention given to him was evident. When he was 10, during a grooming BG discovered a fistula, and told me to get him to the vet NOW , the vet operated, saving his life, giving me another 3 years with my friend.

BG called me after Sabre’s passing and invited me out to watch these working dogs of her’s.

Standing in the pouring rain I watched in amazement as these German Shepherds went thru obedience and protection routines. BG said I might want to consider getting another dog, 1 year later I did , his name is Micca (picture).

Micca is training in obedience and will soon start protection work. Owning a well trained dog is something I wish everyone could experience. Kiefertal Kennel is a full service kennel offering registered German Shepherd Dogs, puppies and trained adults, as well as boarding and training.

BG’s depth of knowledge related to German Shepherds and dogs in general continues to amaze me. If you are thinking of getting a German Shepherd, call her. I for one will be indebted to her for filling a hole in my life and heart and opening me up to the world of German Shepherds, where anything is possible. BG and associate trainer Kathy trained our two Shetland Sheepdogs, Cruz and Chase.  They are now very obedient dogs. They walk nicely side by side, sit without  being told while waiting for the elevator, and crossing the street .   They return instantly when called , even when around the squirrels!

BG and Kathy have a great understanding of the mentality of dogs, including their individual  strengths and weaknesses.  This gives  them excellent insight into how each dog needs to be trained  to reach it’s potential.

They also  ensure the owners fully understand  the training and how to use it.  We are very pleased with the improvements in our dogs.  It has  made our lives much easier, probably their’s as well.  Great job!
